Cardinals Signed RB Michael Bush & Waive RB Kerwynn Williams

The Arizona Cardinals announced Tuesday that they have signed veteran RB Michael Bush to a contract and placed RB Kerwynn Williams on waivers, per Mike Jurecki.

The Cardinals could use some move production from their running backs as Andre Ellington has seen his yards-per-carry drop considerably in recent weeks. However, it’s hard to say what Bush will offer seeing he wasn’t very effective with the Bears last year and he hasn’t appeared in an NFL game all season.

The last reported interest in Bush came back in September when he worked out for the Washington Redskins.

Bush, 30, signed a four-year contract with the Bears back in 2012, but he lasted just two years with the team before he was cut loose this past March. He found very little interest as a free agent throughout the offseason.

Last year, he appeared in 15 games and ran for 197 yards on 63 carries (3.1 YPC) and scored four touchdowns.
