Cardinals Signing TE Jermaine Gresham To A One-Year Deal

The Arizona Cardinals announced Friday that they’re signing former Bengals TE Jermaine Gresham to a one-year deal.

Earlier in the week, the Cardinals hosted Gresham for a visit, but later elected to meet with the Packers.

Gresham had found interest from a number of teams in recent weeks including the Packers, Bears, Raiders, and Saints.

Gresham, 27, was one of the best available free agents. However, he diagnosed with a herniated disc a few months ago and wound up undergoing surgery, which took him out of the running for a number of jobs around the league.

In 2014, Gresham caught 62 passes for 460 yards receiving and five touchdowns over the course of 15 games. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 37 tight end out of 67 qualifying players.

We had Gresham listed as the No. 2 player in our Top 25 Best Available Free Agents list.
