Cardinals Starting Ryan Lindley For Wildcard Game Against Panthers

Cardinals HC Bruce Arians announced Thursday that Ryan Lindley will be team’s starter for Saturday’s Wildcard game against the Carolina Panthers.

  • Arians added that Drew Stanton has been ruled out for this weekend’s matchup.

There was at least some hope entering the week that Stanton could be available to play in round one of the playoffs. However, Arians specifically mentioned that Stanton would need to practice at some point this week, and he has yet to do so.

Lindley completed 22-of-39 passes for 316 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions in the Cardinals’ Week 17 loss to the 49ers.

Rookie QB Logan Thomas figures to be the team’s backup.
