Cardinals Still Haven’t Addressed OT Levi Brown’s $14.5 Million Contract

Here’s some more from Dam Pompei’s article for the National Football Post.

The Arizona Cardinals will have to address OT Levi Brown‘s 2012 contract before his $6 million roster bonus is due on March 13th. The former first-round selection has been largely disappointing and his $14.5 million contract (includes the before-mentioned $6 million roster bonus) for the upcoming season is hardly justifiable.

Interestingly enough, Pompei reports that the Cardinals have, so far, not made any attempts to negotiate his contract.

Earlier reports have mentioned that the team would like to keep in around rather than release him to clear cap space but it’s hard to see them paying him that kind of money. I’d expect them to begin negotiations in the coming weeks or possibly even during the upcoming Scouting Combine next week.
