Cardinals Targeting Broncos OC Mike McCoy For Their HC Vacancy?

According to Ian Rapaport of the NFL Network, the Arizona Cardinals are expected to target Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy for their head coaching vacancy now that the Broncos have been eliminated from the post season.

Rapaport added that defensive coordinator Ray Horton would likely be their backup plan in the event that McCoy didn’t take the job.

McCoy has been a hot coaching candidate for weeks now, so it’s not surprising to see a team show increased interest shortly after the Broncos have been bounced from the playoffs. He’s been linked to all of the available jobs which include the Chargers, Eagles, Bears and Jaguars, so there’s still plenty of interest in his services.

Lovie Smith, Bengals OC Jay Gruden and Steelers OC Todd Haley have also been linked to the Cardinals job.
