Cardinals Sign RB Brandon Wilds & C Coleman Shelton To PS, Cut Two

The Arizona Cardinals announced Monday that they’ve signed C Coleman Shelton and RB Brandon Wilds to their practice squad and released WR Bernard Reedy and RB Jalen Simmons from the unit.

Here’s the Cardinals updated practice squad:

  1. OL Will House
  2. QB Charles Kanoff
  3. DT Pasoni Tasini
  4. WR Jalen Tolliver
  5. TE Andrew Vollert
  6. CB Chris Jones
  7. LB Ufomba Kamalu
  8. DB Deatrick Nichols
  9. RB Brandon Wilds
  10. C Coleman Shelton

Wilds, 25, wound up signing on with the Falcons as undrafted free agent out of South Carolina back in 2016. He had brief stints with the Jets and Browns before he was waived from injured reserve with a settlement at the start of the 2017 season.

Wilds later signed on to the Jaguars’ practice squad and returned to Jacksonville this past January on a futures contract. The Jaguars waived him coming out of the preseason before re-signing him to their taxi squad.

Jacksonville promoted Wilds a few weeks later only to waive him to make room for Jamaal Charles.

In 2018, Wilds has appeared in three games for the Jaguars and rushed for 15 yards on six carries (2.5 YPC) and no touchdowns.
