Cardinals Waive CB Ronald Zamort & LB Alani Fua With Injury Designations

The Arizona Cardinals announced Monday that they’ve waived CB Ronald Zamort and LB Alani Fua with injury designations and signed undrafted rookie CB Jarell Carter to a contract.

Should Zamort and Fua clear waivers, they would revert to team’s injured reserve list on Tuesday.

Zamort, 25, signed on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Western Michigan back in May of 2016. Unfortunately, the Cardinals cut him loose coming out of the preseason before later adding him to their practice squad.

Zamort returned to the Cardinals on a future/reserve contract this past January before recently sustaining a torn ACL.

During his college career, Zamort recorded 150 tackles, one sack, six interceptions, a forced fumble, two recoveries and 51 pass defenses over the course of 48 games.
