Cardinals Waive CB Tharold Simon, Promote CB Harlan Miller

The Arizona Cardinals announced that they’ve waived CB Tharold Simon on Monday and promoted CB Harlan Miller to their active roster.

Simon, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2013. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2.367 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary $675,000 for the 2016 season.

The Seahawks waived him a few weeks into the regular season and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Cardinals.

While Simon has shown some ability in the past, he’s dealt with numerous injuries since entering the NFL, which has led to him appearing in just 20 total games.

In 2016, Simon has appeared in nine games and recorded six tackles and no interceptions.
