Cardinals Waive LB Desmond Bishop

The Arizona Cardinals have placed veteran LB Desmond Bishop on waivers Monday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Cardinals brought Bishop in a few months ago to bolster their depth a linebacker. However, he has yet to appear in a game this season.

Bishop, 30, is a former sixth-round pick of the Packers. He spent five years with Green Bay and helped them win a Super Bowl before he suffered a serious hamstring injury that cost him the 2012 season.

Bishop later caught on with the Vikings, but unfortunately suffered a torn ACL and was placed on season-ending injured reserve.

Arizona actually signed him before the start of the season and he managed to make it through roster cuts, but was released soon after.
