Cardinals Waive LB Lamar Louis From Injured Reserve With Settlement

The Arizona Cardinals officially waived LB Lamar LouisĀ from injured reserve on Saturday with an injury settlement.

Louis, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of LSU back in May. He managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was unfortunately waived with an injury designation on Wednesday.

Louis was active for the team’s season-opener on Sunday but did not record a single statistic. The Cardinals waived him with an injury designation earlier in the week and later placed him on injured reserve.

During his college career, Louis recorded 96 tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, no sacks, a forced fumble, a recovery and two pass defenses.
