Carl Nicks Done In New Orleans?

Now that the Saints have finally decided to franchise QB Drew Brees, the attention quickly swings to their other free agents like Carl Nicks and Marques Colston.

Profootballtalk reports that the Saints have yet to extend Nicks a contract offer.

New Orleans will now have ten days to try to work out a deal with either Nicks or Colston before they’ll be unrestricted free agents. Both players have mentioned that they plan to maximize their situations which leaves the Saints basically choosing between them if that proves to be the case.

If one of the chooses to take a discounted deal to remain with the team, there’s still a chance that they could both be back but given the limited time frame that they’re currently working with, the Saints have their work cut out for them.
