Case Keenum Will Remain The Texans Starting QB

Texans HC Gary Kubiak announced on Monday that Case Keenum will remain the team’s starting quarterback.

“You want to find him some success. He’s going through a growth process,” said Kubiak, per John McClain. “…Best thing other offensive players can do is play at their highest level. That’ll help Case.”

Keenum completed 18-of-34 passes for 169 yards, zero touchdowns and an interception during Sunday’s loss to the Jaguars. On the season, Keenum has completed 55 percent of his passes for over 1,1oo yards. He also has a 8-2 touchdown to interception ratio, but he clearly struggling when blitzed. Keenum will need to improve to his ability to handle the blitz if they are to end their current losing streak.
