CB DeAngelo Hall Taking On A Role Similar To Charles Woodson’s?

Redskins CB DeAngelo Hall is expecting to “take on a role similar to that of Green Bay’s Charles Woodson” next season, per Mike Jones of the Washington Post.

Hall mentioned the new defensive back coach Raheem Morris has been stressing all defensive backs to lean to “play everywhere.” Hall expounded on his role in the teams’ defense  by saying that “if push comes to shove, with motions, I could wind up playing safety one play, nickel the other. It just gives us more flexibility.

In 2010 Woodson was able to secure the defensive player of the year award taking on that role, so if Hall is able to execute well enough, he too could have the kind of impact on a Redskins secondary that only made 10 interceptions last year.
