Who knew Peyton Manning wasn’t the only player in the NFL? On a day when Manning dominates the media, the Seahawks have made a move to clear cap space (could this be Manning related after all?) and clear the path for the Seahawks younger CBs.
As reported by Danny O’Neil, the Seahawks will release 31 year-old CB Marcus Trufant Wednesday. Trufant will hit the free agent market ahead of the opening of the market for expiring contract, and could be a quick signing for a team looking to take a gamble on an injury prone CB who will come at a discount.
The release has been forecast for a while now and comes as no surprise.
