The Cincinnati Bengals have announced that RB Cedric Benson will out Week 8 and serve his one-game suspension then rather than this weekend, the Cincinnati Enquirer,
“We’ve been planning for this for the previous six weeks,” said coach Marvin Lewis. “We’ll go forward the week prior to Seattle and we’ll be without Ced when we go out to play.”
It’s surprising that Benson was able to get his three game suspension dropped to only a single game considering the number of conduct violations that he’s had up to this point.
As we’ve mentioned numerous times before, Bernard Scott will get the start while Benson is out.
