Chad Johnson’s Contract With The Montreal Alouettes Worth $70K

Alex Marvez of Fox Sports reports that former NFL receiver Chad Johnson‘s contract with the Montreal Alouettes is worth a total of $70,000 in Canadian currency.

  • Marvez adds that Johnson’s deal is the standard CFL contract and includes no incentives or behavior clauses.

Assuming this figure is accurate, Johnson will make the equivalent of $63,492 US dollars.

That’s a far cry from the veterans minimum in the NFL, but it was a little surprising to see them sign Johnson in the first place given that he has played in a game since 2011.

Johnson, 36, tried out for the team last week before they elected to sign him to a one-year contract. The team was actually quite impressed with his performance during the workout, so maybe he still has something to offer.
