Chargers Sign Marcus McNeill

The San Diego Chargers have announced that they have signed LT Marcus McNeill to a contract extension today.

Although the details of the contract are currently unknown, Jason La Canfora reports that the deal could be worth $48.5 million over five years which could include $30 million in the first three years of the deal.

McNeill ultimately decided to report after the Chargers wound up not trading Vincent Jackson. McNeill is one of the top tackles in the game so having him under control for the few years should help stabilize the teams offense.
