Chargers Activate NT Damion Square, Place LB Nick Dzubnar On I.R.

The San Diego Chargers announced Monday that they’ve placed ILB Nick Dzubnar on injured reserve and activated NT Damion Square from the reserve/suspended list.

Square just finished serving his four-game suspension for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.

Square, 27, originally signed on with the Philadelphia Eagles last year as an undrafted free agent out of BYU. He was unable to make the final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason that season, but he was later claimed by the Chiefs.

After a few months in Kansas City, Square was once again waived and this time claimed by the Chargers. San Diego signed him on their practice squad at the start of the season before later calling him up.

Square returned to the Chargers on a one-year contract back in March.

In 2015, Square appeared in six games for the Chargers and recorded six tackles and a fumble recovery.
