Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Chargers recently brought in CFL CB Delvin Breaux for a tryout.
Adam Caplan reported last week that Breaux has received “significant interest” from 18 NFL teams including: the Eagles, Patriots, Texans, Jaguars, Dolphins, Cardinals, Steelers, Lions, 49ers, and Broncos.
Breaux, 25, won’t be able to officially sign with an NFL team after February 10, but it won’t prevent him meeting with a number of prospective teams.
He’s listed at 6-1 and 195 and reportedly ran a 4.38 second 40-yard-dash, so he’s certainly interesting young player to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.
During his two years with the Hamilton Tiger Cats, Breaux recorded 62 tackles, one sack, an interception, two fumble recoveries and a defensive touchdown.
We’ll have more regarding who could sign Breaux as the news is available.
