Chargers Re-Sign CB Brandon Flowers To A Four-Year, $36M Deal

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Chargers and CB Brandon Flowers have reached agreement on a four-year deal.

  • Aaron Wilson reports that Flowers receives a four-year contract worth $36 million from the Chargers.
  • Rand Getlin reports that Flowers could come away with close to $20 million guaranteed.

Multiple reports from Saturday night said that Flowers and the Chargers were closing in on an agreement, so this isn’t all that surprising to hear.

Flowers is in the discussion to be the best available cornerback in this year’s market, so it will really be interesting to see what kind of contract he secures from San Diego.

Flowers, 29, signed a one-year contract worth $3 million with the Chargers after the Chiefs elected to cut him loose last year. Flowers managed to put together a very solid 2014 season and is in line for a sizable raise over the next few weeks.

Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 15 cornerback out of 108 qualifying players.

We have Flowers listed as the No. 14 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
