Chargers Claim TE Je’Ron Hamm Off Waivers, Waive WR Marcus Peterson

The Los Angeles Chargers announced Monday that they’ve claimed TE Je’Ron Hamm off of waivers from the Seahawks and waived WR Marcus Peterson.

Hamm, 26, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Louisiana-Monroe back in 2014. He lasted just a few months in New Orleans before he was waived during the preseason.

Since then, Hamm has had brief stints with the Redskins and 49ers before signing on with the Seahawks last month. Seattle cut him loose on Sunday.

In 2016, Hamm appeared in five games and caught two passes for 13 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
