Chargers Claim TE Kyle Miller Off Waivers From Falcons, Release DE Damik Scafe

The San Diego Chargers announced Tuesday that they’ve claimed TE Kyle Miller off of waivers from the Falcons.

  • The Charger released DE Damik Scafe to make room for Miller.

Miller, 27, signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Mount Union back in 2007. He has since placed for the Colts and Dolphins before signing on with the Falcons in September of last year.

Atlanta later signed him to a future/reserve contract in December before waiving him on Monday.

Miller has appeared in just one NFL game during the 2012 season when he was playing for the Dolphins. He has yet to record a single statistic.

Scafe, 27, was set to make a base salary of $435,000 for the 2015 season. He last appeared in an NFL game during the 2012 season.
