Chargers DT Corey Liuget Out For Season With Right Knee Injury

Following Sunday’s loss to the Broncos, Chargers HC Anthony Lynn told reporters (per Eric Williams) that DT Corey Liuget is out for the season with a right knee injury.

Liuget suffered the knee injury in the first half of the game and was unable to return.

Liuget missed the first four games of the season, due to a suspension for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drugs policy.

Liuget, 28, is a former first-round pick of the Chargers back in 2011. He’s currently in the fourth year of his six-year, $58.219 million contract that included $30.477 million guaranteed and set to make base salaries of $8 million and $7.5 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2018, Liuget appeared in five games for the Chargers and recorded 14 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a forced fumble for the Chargers.
