Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union Tribune reports that Chargers fullback Jacob Hester has until Monday to accept the team’s offer for a contract extension.
This is typical of the hard-nose management style of GM A.J. Smith. This ultimatum also stands for OT Mario Henderson who worked out with the team last week. Hester was drafted out of LSU to serve as a complement short yardage back to Ladainian Tomlinson but has since played mostly at full back. Hester also visited with the Seahawks on Wednesday this week.
