Kaeding mentioned that his current status is ”day to day,” after he recently visited with a specialist.
“Luckily, it is more of a hiccup than anything,” he said. “It’s definitely frustrating and disappointing, especially coming back so strong and healthy from last year.”
Kevin Acee of Union-Tribune San Diego adds that Kaeding met with a specialist and is status moving forward is “week to week.” Acee also mentioned that there’s “no room for 2 kickers.“
Kaeding is dealing with a groin injury, which forced the team to re-sign K Nick Novak last week. Kaeding has a pretty serious history of injuries, so there’s actually a pretty good chance that he will be allowed to leave during the offseason, since he will be a free agent.
