Chargers Narrowing Down Options For Vacant GM Position

Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union Tribune tweeted this morning that the Chargers are “likely” down to Jimmy Raye III and Tom Telesco as the candidates to be their next GM.

Raye, the Chargers director of player personnel, was considered to be an in-house candidate since rumors began circulating that A.J. Smith was likely to be fired.

Meanwhile  Telesco, Colts VP of football operations, has been with Indianapolis  for 14 seasons now and spent time under Bill Polian.  The Chargers are reportedly interested in Colts OC Bruce Arians for their head coaching vacancy, so there’s at least a decent enough chance that both of them could be brought in.

Acee adds that Cardinals V.P. of player personnel Steve Kerim is also under consideration for the job, due to his friendship with John Spanos.
