Chargers Place OL Chris Hairston On NFI List, Sign OL Tyler Marz Off Titans’ PS

The Los Angeles Chargers announced Wednesday that they’ve placed OL Chris Hairston on the non-football injury list, officially ending his 2017 season.

  • The Chargers also signed OL Tyler Marz off of the Titans’ practice squad.

Hairston, 28, is a former fourth-round pick of the Bills back in 2011. He spent four years in Buffalo and, after playing out his rookie contract, signed a one-year deal with the Chargers in 2015.

The Chargers later signed him to a two-year, $2.9 million contract that included $550,000 guaranteed. Hairston stands to make a base salary of $1.5 million this season before becoming an unrestricted free agent next year.

In 2017, Hairston appeared in two games for the Chargers and played just two snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.
