Chargers Place RB Brandon Oliver On Injured Reserve, Get Down To 76 Players

The San Diego Chargers announced a series of roster moves on Tuesday, including:

The Chargers received a roster exemption for first-round DE Joey Bosa, so they’re currently at 76 players.

This shouldn’t come as a big surprise, considering that Oliver suffered a gruesome Achilles injury this past weekend and was expected to be out for the season.

Oliver, 25, is in the final year of his three-year, $1.53 million contract that includes a base salary of $600,000 for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Oliver appeared in eight games for the Chargers and ran for 108 yards on 31 carries (3.5 YPC) to go along with 13 receptions for 112 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
