Chargers Promote WR Geremy Davis, Re-Sign C Max Tuerk To PS

The Los Angeles Chargers announced Thursday that they’ve promoted WR Geremy Davis to their active roster and re-signed C Max Tuerk to their practice squad.

The Chargers’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. G Brett Boyko
  2. WR Andre Patton
  3. WR Artavis Scott
  4. DB Craig Mager
  5. TE Braedon Bowman
  6. DB Jeff Richards
  7. DE Isaac Rochell
  8. DB A.J. Hendy
  9. DE Whitney Richardson
  10. C Max Tuerk

Davis, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Giants back in 2015. He managed to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season, but was later cut loose at the start of the 2016 season.

The Giants added him to their practice squad a few months into the season before losing him to the Chargers and he finished out the year in San Diego. The Chargers brought Davis back on a one-year, exclusive rights contract this past March before cutting him loose coming out of the preseason.

Los Angeles later signed Davis to their practice squad.

In 2016, Davis appeared in three games but did not catch a single pass for the Chargers.

Tuerk, 23, is a former third-round pick of the Chargers back in 2016. He was in the second year of his four-year, $3.57 million contract and was set to make base salaries of $613,000 and $760,000 over the next two years when the Chargers waived him a few weeks ago.

Tuerk has yet to appear in an NFL game since entering the league.
