Chargers QB Philip Rivers Wins Comeback Player Of The Year

Chargers QB Philip Rivers has won the Associated Press 2014 Comeback Player of the Year award.

  • Twelve other players also received votes.

This was probably an easy decision for the committee given that Rivers 2013 turnaround was both impressive and surprising.

Rivers finished his first season under Mike McCoy with 4,478 yards passing while completing 69.5 percent of his passes and added 32 touchdowns.

It will be interesting to see if Rivers is able to continue his success in 2014, despite the loss of offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt.
