Chargers Re-Sign OT Joe Barksdale To A Four-Year, $22.2M Deal

The San Diego Chargers officially announced the signing of RT Joe Barksdale to a four-year contract.

  • Adam Caplan reports that the Chargers signed Barksdale to a four-year, $22.2 million deal that includes $10.5 million fully guaranteed.

Chargers RT Joe Barksdale tells Michael Gehlken that he will be re-signing with San Diego on Tuesday after they reached an agreement on a new contract.

We got the deal done,” Barksdale said. “I’ll be signing tomorrow.”

Barksdale, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Raiders back in 2011. After a few years in Oakland, he was waived at during the 2012 season and later claimed off of waivers by the Rams.

He spent three years in St. Louis before signing a one-year deal with the Chargers last year.

In 2015, Barksdale appeared in all 16 games for the Chargers and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 21 offensive tackle out of 77 qualifying players.
