Chargers Sign CB Patrick Robinson To A One-Year, $2M Deal

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Chargers have signed CB Patrick Robinson to a one-year contract worth $2 million.

  • According to Wilson, Robinson’s contract with the Chargers includes $1 million bonus to go along with a $1 million base salary.
  • $250,000 of his base salary if guaranteed and the agreement includes up to $1 million playtime incentives.

Robinson had taken a visit with the Steelers and reportedly had interest from teams like the Vikings, Saints, Panthers, and Dolphins as well.

Robinson, 27, is a former first-round pick of the Saints back in 2010. He’s played out his five-year, $9,409,500 contract that included $6,085,000 guaranteed.

In 2014, Robinson appeared in 14 games for the Saints and recorded 39 tackles, two interceptions, and 11 pass defenses for the Saints’ defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No 40 cornerback out of 108 qualifying players.
