Chargers Sign DE Anthony Lanier & LB Kyle Wilson To PS

The Los Angeles Chargers announced that they’ve signed DE Anthony Lanier and LB Kyle Wilson to their practice squad.

Here’s the Chargers updated practice squad:

  1. DE Patrick Afriyie
  2. WR Dylan Cantrell
  3. S A.J. Hendy
  4. WR Andre Patton
  5. QB Cardale Jones
  6. G Spencer Drango
  7. TE Vince Mayle
  8. LB Tre’von Johnson
  9. DE Anthony Lanier
  10. LB Kyle Wilson

Lanier, 25, wound up signing on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama A&M back in 2016. He was waived with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and he later reverted to the team’s injured reserve list.

Washington waived Lanier from injured reserve with an injury settlement.

In 2017, Lanie appeared in 11 games and recorded 14 tackles, five sacks, a forced fumble, a recovery and six pass defenses.

Wilson, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Arkansas State back in May. He took part in the Eagles’ rookie minicamp on a tryout basis and eventually signed a contract with Philadelphia.

Unfortunately, the Eagles waived Wilson coming out of the preseason. He did, however, return for a brief stint on their practice squad.

During his college career at Arkansas State, Wilson recorded 173 tackles, 26.5 tackles for a loss, 4.5 sacks, an interception, and a forced fumble over the course of 24 games.
