Chargers Sign Former Steelers TE David Johnson

The San Diego Chargers announced that they have signed former Steelers TE David Johnson to a contract.

Johnson, 26, was lost for the season after he suffered a wrist injury back in October and was subsequently placed on injured reserve.

He appeared in five games for the Steelers and totaled four receptions for 70 yards. He offers some versatility given that he has played both tight end and fullback for Pittsburgh.
