Chargers Sign OL Chris Hairston

Former Bills OL Chris Hairston announced via his Twitter account Wednesday that he’s signing with the Chargers.

San Diego hosted Hairston for a visit close to a month ago, so he was clearly on their radar.

The Chargers have clearly placed an emphasis on adding more offensive line depth before the start of the 2015 season, and have signed OL Orlando Franklin to a five-year deal while also bringing in C Trevor Robinson on a two-year agreement.

Hairston, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Bills back in 2011. He played out his four-year, $2,455,908 contract with the Bills that included $415,908 guaranteed and is now an unrestricted free agent.

Last year, Hairston appeared in 10 games for the Bills and played a total of just 38 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.
