Chargers Sign Third-Round C Max Tuerk To Four-Year Deal

The San Diego Chargers announced Thursday signed third-round C Max Tuerk to a four-year contract.

This leaves first-round DE Joey Bosa as the last remaining draft pick to sign his rookie contract.

Tuerk, 22, was selected with the No. 66 overall pick by the Chargers over a month ago with the hope of him solidifying their center position. Tuerk is expected to compete for their starting center job with Chris Watt this summer.

According to OverTheCap.com, Tuerk receives a four-year contract worth $3,229,020 to go along with a signing bonus of $889,020.

During his college career at USC, Tuerk started 38 games at a number of positions on USC’s offensive line. He unfortunately suffered a season-ending knee injury during his senior year. Before that, he was a first-team All-Pac 12 as a junior.
