Chargers Sign Third-Round Pick G Chris Watt

The San Diego Chargers reached an agreement with third-round pick G Chris Watt on a four-year contract, per Aaron Wilson.

  • According to Wilson, Watt’s contract is worth $2.691 million and includes a $419,000 signing bonus.

Watt, 23, started 37 games for Notre Dame with most of them coming at right guard. Last year, he unfortunately suffered injuries to his PCL and MCL, which forced him to miss the Scouting Combine and his Pro Day.

He landed in a pretty good situation as the Chargers could really use some help at guard. Even if he’s unable to win a starting job this year, he could still be valuable rotational offensive lineman, depending on how he holds up in training camp.
