The San Diego Chargers announced the signing of WR Austin Pettis on Friday.
The Chargers were one of a few teams to bring Pettis in for a workout in recent weeks, but they held on signing him until now.
The Rams waived Pettis a few months ago and has since worked out for the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers, and Carolina Panthers.
Pettis, 26, is a former 2011 third-round pick of the Rams, but has been limited to playing just 34 percent of the team’s snaps in 2014.
He appeared in five games and caught 12 passes for 118 yards receiving and one touchdown while playing for the Rams this year.
