Chargers Signing OL Brett Boyko

Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that the Chargers are signing OL Brett Boyko to a contract on Thursday.

Boyko, 23, originally signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of UNLV back in May of last year. He was unfortunately unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later signed to the team’s practice squad at the start of the regular season.

Philadelphia elected to bring Boyko back on a future/reserve contract in January only to cut him loose a few weeks after this year’s draft.

Boyko has yet to appear in an NFL game.

During his college career, Boyko started 41 games for the Rebels at left tackle and was a second-team All-Mountain West selection as a junior and senior.
