Chargers & Titans Put Clemson WR Mike Williams Through Workouts Last Week

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Chargers worked out Clemson WR Mike Williams last Thursday while the Titans did the same on Saturday.

Pre-draft visits ended last Wednesday, but it appears as though the Chargers and Titans both wanted to get one last look at the consensus top receiver in the draft before they were on the clock.

Both teams are drafting in the top-7 picks and could be landing spots for Williams, depending of course on what happens before them.

There has been talk of the Titans being interested in trading down, which could easily take them out of the running for Williams. However, the Chargers figure to be a team to watch for Williams at No. 7 overall.

Williams, 22, is widely considered to be the top receiving prospect in this year’s draft class and he showed his play-making ability during the National Championship game. He’s in a good position to be one of the top receivers to come off the board this year, possibly within the top 10 picks.

Williams took pre-draft visits with the Titans, Ravens, Browns and Eagles.

During his college career at Clemson, Williams caught 177 passes for 2,727 yards receiving (15.4 YPR) and 21 touchdowns over the course of 38 games.
