Chargers to Fire GM A.J. Smith, HC Norv Turner After Season

The Chargers will fire GM A.J. Smith and HC Norv Turner at the conclusion of the season, according for the Union-Tribune San Diego.

Owner Dean Spanos plans to eat a total of $7 million over the next two seasons, owing Turner $3 million for the final year of his contract and Smith $4 million for the last two years of his deal, respectively.

With the Chargers sitting at a disappointing 4-8 record and the Turner/Smith combo having long been on the NFL hot seat radar, this move seems somewhat overdue.
