Michael Gehlken of the Union-Tribune San Diego reports that the Chargers are “very unlikely” to re-sign OT Marcus McNeill.
San Diego cut McNeill lose weeks ago and re-signed OT Jared Gaither to replace him in the long-run. The Chargers also added former Raiders OT Mario Henderson who will most likely serve as their backup.
The Eagles checked in on McNeill, who is still only 28 years old, but the current condition of his back figures to be a concerning matter for prospective teams. We have him listed as the #12 best available free agent in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
