Chargers Waive G Michael Huey

The San Diego Chargers officially placed veteran G Michael Huey on waivers Thursday.

Huey, 27, originally signed on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2011. He later signed a three-year contract with the Chargers, but was unable to make their final 53-man roster in 2011.

However, he lasted just a a few days in Seattle before he was later signed by the Chargers.

After a brief stint with the Redskins in 2014, Huey returned to the Chargers as an unrestricted free agent.

Since then, Huey has been on an off of the Chargers’ active roster. San Diego elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract back in January.

Huey has yet to appear in an NFL game.
