Chargers Waive RB Dreamius Smith From I.R. With Settlement

The San Diego Chargers officially waived RB Dreamius Smith from injured reserve on Thursday with an injury settlement.

Smith, 23, wound up signing on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of West Virginia back in May. However, he was unfortunately unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.

Since then, Smith has been on and off of the team’s practice squad, but was unfortunately waived with an injury designation earlier in the week.

Last year, Smith appeared in two games for the Chargers, but didn’t’ receive a single carry.
