The San Diego Chargers announced Tuesday that they’ve waived veteran S Jimmy Wilson.
Wilson, 29, signed a two-year, $4.25 million contract with the Chargers back in March. He stands to make a base salary of $1 million and another $2 million next year.
This season, Wilson has appeared in 13 games and recorded 43 tackles, one sack, an interception, a fumble recovery and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 65 safety out of 86 qualifying players.
