Chargers Waive WR Rasheed Bailey & LB Shaq Petteway From I.R. With Settlements

The San Diego Chargers officially waived WR Rasheed Bailey and LB Shaq Petteway from their injured reserve list on Friday. Both players received injury settlements from San Diego.

Bailey, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Delaware Valley back in May of last year. The Eagles signed him to a three-year, $1.575 million rookie contract, but he was later among the team’s final roster cuts at the start of the season.

The Jaguars added him to their practice squad midseason and later brought him back on a future/reserve contract. Jacksonville waived Bailey a few weeks ago before he was later claimed off of waivers by the Charger.

San Diego cut Bailey loose last week as they got down to the 53-player limit.

Bailey has yet to appear in an NFL game.
