Chargers Waive WR Rico Richardson From I.R. With A Settlement

The San Diego Chargers waived WR Rico Richardson from injured reserve on Wednesday with an injury settlement.

Richardson, 24, originally signed on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Jackson State back in 2013. After a brief stint with the Texans, Richardson signed on with the Titans back in June of 2014 and was on and off of their practice squad during his time in Tennessee.

Unfortunately, the Titans elected to place Richardson on waivers at the end of last season and not bring him back on a future/reserve contract. Richardson later signed a contract with the Cardinals in June only to be waived soon after.

The Chargers just signed him to a contract a few weeks ago before waiving him with the injury designation last week.

In 2015, Richardson was active for five games, but did not record a single statistic.
