The San Diego Chargers placed LB Alvin Scioneaux on waivers Tuesday, according to the NFL transactions release.
Scioneaux, 23, signed on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Wofford back in May of last year. However, he lasted just a few months with the team before he was waived-injured at the start of the preseason.
According to OverTheCap.com, releasing Scioneaux will free up $434,000 in available cap space while creating just $2,000 in dead money.
Scioneaux has yet to appear in an NFL game.
