ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Chargers are “unlikely” to apply their franchise tag on WR Vincent Jackson.
Just a few days ago reports mentioned that the tag was still a possibility but the move with cost the Chargers $14 million which things financially complicated. San Diego is holding out hope that they’ll be able to get a long-term in place with Jackson and he has said that he’s open to returning but at this point in time it’s not looking very good.
