According to Jack Wang, the Chargers are working out former Rams WR Nelson Spruce on Monday.

Spruce, 25, signed on with the Rams as an undrafted rookie out of Colorado back in 2016 and was able to make the team’s 53-man roster. The Rams placed Spruce on injured reserve during the season before eventually designating him to return.

Unfortunately, Los Angeles waived Spruce with an injury designation coming out of the preseason last year and eventually cut him loose with an injury settlement. The Bears later signed Spruce to their practice squad but his stint in Chicago lasted just a few weeks.

The Chiefs signed Spruce to a contract back in March but elected to cut him loose last week.

During his four-year college career at Colorado, he accumulated 294 receptions for 3,347 yards receiving and 23 touchdowns.
